
The heart rate zone (HRZ) feature in your Apeiron Life app gives you the ability to track your heart rate zone (HRZ) distribution for the week. This metric is key to making your workouts work for you.

Why? It helps us make sure you’re challenging your system at the ideal intensity to support your goals, without pushing yourself too far (placing you at risk for injury). Over time, we also want you to train in a variety of zones, as it helps you develop a well-rounded metabolism. Here’s what you need to know:
Your zones are personalized to you. During your physical assessment, we measured your resting and maximum heart rates, which serve as the lower and upper benchmarks.
Zone 1 is very light, zone 5 is very hard. Your ideal zone distribution depends on your goals, and your Apeiron Life experts will provide feedback on this in your weekly summary emails.
Different zones have different benefits. Lower intensity zones allow you to work out longer, burning fat a more sustainable rate. Higher zones are good for power training and reducing visceral adipose tissue (the fat surrounding organs).
